PIPEX Business will soon become Opal

Pipex (sic) is to become part of Opal on 1 June 2010. We will retain our PIPEX email addresses, but support and billing will be from Opal themselves. I suppose that this will be the end of the PIPEX brand as such because title will transfer from PIPEX Internet Limited to Opal Connect Limited. (Wonder how many know the origin of PIPEX and why it is in capitals!)

Oh well, end of an era.

Mind you, the way the name PIPEX has been dragged into disrepute by subsequent owners makes one wonder whether it's disappearance may not be a good thing.

Just a shame for those associated with the build up of the original company.

Seen them change drastically over the years having been a customer since at least 1996 on Dial Up (where I still have the same account!).
